Hi, I’m Jade, a creative artist based in the Bay Area. I explore and express myself through a range of artistic mediums, beginning with graphic design and gradually expanding into drawing, sculpture, and ceramics. I was first introduced to clay in Jingdezhen, a historic porcelain city in southeastern China, where working with the material allowed me to experience creation not just as making objects, but as a way of connecting with something deeper within. Through working alongside children in creative environments, I’ve come to appreciate how each individual brings their own rhythm, emotions, and unique mode of expression into the process. Art becomes a gentle language one that allows inner experiences to take form naturally. Among all mediums, I feel a special connection to clay. It is soft, grounding, and patient. It invites a slower pace, encouraging presence and a hands-on dialogue with the material, while embracing imperfection. In my practice, I value openness and awareness, allowing the material and inner experience to respond to one another. I believe that creating is, in itself, a healing process, and that each piece reflects a moment honestly expressed.
