Zachary Ching

Hi! I’m Zachary Ching. I’m originally from Oahu, Hawaii, and I’m currently studying Accounting & Information Systems at Santa Clara University. I initially discovered pottery in a high school ceramics course and have been hooked ever since. Over the past two years, I’ve enjoyed exploring new techniques, such as creating complex forms and sharp angles on the wheel, while keeping my pieces lightweight and sleek. Working with clay has become one of my favorite ways to destress and exercise my creativity. It has helped me to step away from schoolwork, has taught me to stay present in the moment, and has shown me how to find a balance between strength and delicacy.
